Passionate about the intersection between travel and education, Susanne has prioritized immersive educational experiences abroad in her personal life and as an experiential educator. She has worked on various international educational programs and has taught English as a Foreign Language in Boston and New York. She has traveled extensively throughout Europe, Latin America, and Asia, preferring to spend several months in each location instead of passing through as a tourist. She loves studying languages and has gained fluency in Spanish, French, and Italian, as well as strong proficiency in Portuguese and Greek and a basic conversational ability in German and Manadarin Chinese.
Susanne is based in Envoys’ Boston office and works on curriculum development, logistics, research, and many other projects, as well as leading programs in the field. She graduated cum laude from Smith College in Italian Studies, is Wilderness First Responder certified, and is currently enrolled in the M.A. program in International Higher Education at Lesley University. When not at work, Susanne enjoys dancing salsa, swing, tango, and other social dances, watching classic cinema, reading, and searching out and enjoying the best food around.
